Ever watched a tractor pull?
Large, ridiculously powerful tractors pull huge weights through mud.
They start off fast and as the weight gets heavier and the mud deeper, they slow down.
Many products look like this.
They come flying out of the gate and then inertia kicks in and more energy is needed to grow and thrive.
The opposite is creating a flywheel.
Companies that pursue a flywheel-business model focus on building the kind of long-term capabilities that allow them to prevail against rivals and capture new opportunities for growth.
This gives you the profits they need to invest more in capabilities.
Along the way you target the customers or customer segments that will help you develop these capabilities.
It is similar to the flywheel concept from high school physics, typically demonstrated by a heavy disc that is difficult to start up, but that spins easily with limited effort once it reaches full speed.
Over time, a simple idea becomes a well-oiled machine, which translates into a predictable and profitable business.
I have built a flywheel inside my business and this was one of the focuses of my client mastermind.
Having a great product and ecosystem is the easiest way to grow a strong, predictable, profitable business.
Watch behind closed doors as I detail this strategy with my clients:

One of the biggest mistakes I have made is waiting too long to hire.
I built a sizeable, profitable business on my own and thought I could continue that.
I was wrong.
Building a team has been the best thing I’ve done for our clients, our growth and me.
Now we’re on the road, the team has expanded to grow both the business and our family.
On today’s episode I give you my thoughts on why you need a cleaner, growing a team and introduce you to my people.

Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa has claimed the major prize at the Big Wave Awards in California, winning Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa has claimed the major prize at the Big Wave Awards in California, winning the award for the largest wave ever surfed.
80 feet high.
The same size as a 9 storey building.
Like a mini tidal wave
The modern business owner feels the same way when it comes to numbers.
There is a tidal wave of data and numbers coming towards you.
Accounting, dashboards, advertising.
Knowing what to pay attention to is hard.
Some of it’s important but you instinctively know that all of it isn’t.
But you need to know what ‘good’ looks like.
Here’s 3 numbers you must know if you want to grow.
Cost Per Lead
How much does it cost you to earn the right to communicate with a prospect. To follow up with them until they become a customer.
Cost Per Qualified Lead
How much does it cost to have a phone call or meeting with a prospect who fits your key criteria.
Cost Per Customer
How much does it cost you to acquire a customer. If you know this number, and have a system to generate it, you are master and mistress of your own domain.
If you have visibility and control over these numbers the rest don’t really matter.
Cost per click? as much as you need.
These numbers are your North Star.
When you know them you can make the right decision about where you allocate your precious time and resources. It your efforts grow them then you’re doing the right thing.
Simple goals scale.
Focus on these 3 numbers if you want to scale as well

The real answer is both.
But the measure of your results isn’t how many hours you work, it’s the impact of those hours.
The impact on your client results and your bank account.
How many times have you got to end of a busy day and felt that not much had really moved forward?
Many business owners fill their day with ‘stuff’ they feel they ‘should’ be doing.
Come behind the scenes and see how I spend a typical day.

For you and them.
They can access on their terms and pace and you can deliver with no demands on your time and unlimited scale. You just need to turn up and help them customise it.
Leveraging your knowledge and building a knowledge asset is one of the greatest investments you can make into your business.
Currently my clients are packaging their real world knowledge in property selling, investing, email marketing, digital design, business coaching, swimming and a host of other expert areas.
