Facebook have recently added the ability to bring another person into a Live stream.
It’s a very cool feature. You can do impromptu interviews and the video goes to both parties’ audiences. And yesterday I wanted to test it. So I suggested it to my friend Daniel and he was up for it. We jumped on at 2.30 and it wouldn’t work. I spent 7 minutes staring into a camera with dozens of people watching while I clicked and swiped and cursed. I looked a bit silly. But it was the only way. It had to be done Live. After we had worked out all the issues in full view of everyone we jumped on for an hour and chatted retargeting, psychology and Daniel’s cat. I have the core growth channels nailed in my business so I can sail into uncharted waters and test new things. New ways to find and connect with people. New methods to teach to my community that can move their business forward. If you know where your audience are and how to communicate with them then you have to be prepared to go there. Sometimes that’s scary and you risk failing publicly. Public speaking. Facebook Live. Investing money. But it’s never terminal. You will always recover. There’s treasure in uncharted waters but you need to sail them to find it. |
