I’ve got a bit fat.
Not, I can barely walk fat.
Just, look like I enjoy a craft beer and a burger fat.
When I lived in the UK I was fat. The famed Heathrow injection is a real thing.
I’ve never got on with diets and the statistics and dinner party conversations show that most people don’t either.
The reason most people fail is a diet changes a lot of behaviours at once. You have to eat completely different foods at different times. The emotional and social pressure become too much for most people and they slip back to old habits quickly.
The diet industry must be the largest industry on earth that gets such consistently poor results for most people.
It’s because they support the biggest fallacy around about what it takes to make real change.
That you have to add things.
Fasting has gained mainstream attention in the past few years.
There are different types; 5/2, eat normally for 5 days, fast for 2. 16/8 eat normally but only for 8 hours per day.
I found fasting 6 years ago.
The first time I did it I lost 13 kgs. But it was the mental clarity and health improvements that were most noticeable. My skin cleared up and my energy was so consistent across the day.
Science indicates that our cells ‘reset’ when there is an absence of food. Flushing out the dodgy ones and duplicating the healthy.
The diet industry hates fasting. You cant sell a container of nothing for $99 a month…
Just like dieting; most people are looking around for things to add to their business to grow it.
New tools, products, tactics.
But progress is a process of removal.
Of getting to the core of what your customers want and giving it to them.
If you’re looking for growth you need to be looking for what to remove, not add.
