18 months ago I came to a painful realisation.
I’ll tell you what it was but need to set the scene.
I had a string of clients come to me who were interested in building funnels for their businesses. Three big opportunities all at once. I was excited. The work was worth $60,000 if it came in.
I did the usual. Multiple meetings. Proposals. Long email chains answering and clarifying a long list of questions. This went on for weeks. I couldn’t get commitment.
Concurrently I was looking to pivot my business and talking to multiple people about helping me build a framework. I had multiple calls. Received proposals. Long email chains asking questions. Talking to their clients. I didn’t commit.
One day I decided to commit to investing in getting help building a new framework.
Within the space of 4 days all of the clients committed to me.
It was a lesson that I’ve never forgotten.
The way you make decisions and act reflect directly back at you.
It’s a mirror.
I try to manifest this everywhere. I pay invoices as soon as I get them, often before someones asked for payment. I make decisions and invest in things quickly. I kill things that aren’t working quickly and don’t look backwards. I give testimonials and reviews freely.
And all these things are reflected back at me.
The elegant beauty of this reality is the way you act is completely under your control. If you ensure your actions are consistent with the actions you most desire from your customers and clients it will become so.
