Eeyore would be 141 years old.
That would be if he was either alive or real…
He was best friends with Pooh, Tigger and Piglet.
He was a pessimistic, gloomy, depressed, old grey stuffed donkey.
Eeyore could rarely bring himself to be positive about, well anything.
Winnie the Pooh asked, “Lovely day, isn’t it?”
And Eeyore responds in true Eeyore fashion: “Wish I could say yes, but I can’t.”
What reward will you give for finding your tail Eeyore?
“I’d say thistles, but nobody listens to me, anyway.”
How long is Winnie the Pooh going to stay stuck in the tree trunk?
“Days. Weeks. Months. Who knows?”
“So, are you finally happy, Eeyore?”
He quips:
“No. But I sure do like this new tail.”
and finishes with:
“It’s all for naught.”
Being around Eeyore’s isn’t much fun.
But unfortunately their everywhere.
Negative.
Non-believing.
Pessimistic.
They could be friends, partners colleagues even family.
The closer they are to you the more their negativity stings.
We must have empathy for Eeyore’s often they have failed a little themselves and struggle to believe in others dreams or aspirations as they don’t believe in themselves.
You can have empathy but you can’t afford to listen to them.
If you want an extraordinary life you must have extraordinary belief.
Be positive like Pooh.
Ignore Eeyore.
