Yes, yes it does,
Yesterday morning I was on breakfast TV.
As a digital first business, I’m always curious to see the numbers and impact behind traditional media appearances.
I was also curious to see if anyone commented on me wearing jandals on national TV…
The numbers don’t lie.
115 new subscribers (welcome!), 40+ chat sessions on my website, dozens of emails, 50+ personal Facebook friend requests and too many messenger chats to count.
At the end of the day, attention is attention. If you have something good to say and a platform then it will come.
But there’s a crucial think I have in place that many seeking attention don’t.
Methods to turn it into currency. Value, relationships and ultimately customers and clients.
Many seek PR and ‘profile’ without having these in place and get frustrated when they don’t move the needle.
If you don’t have methods to turn attention into currency, it’s like shouting in any empty room.
