There’s an election on here.
This one doesn’t involve a man with strange hair and a lady with questionable email practices.
It’s a much bigger deal.
It’s the Local Board elections.
This is where grey haired people compete for 5 seats on a board that wields no power, has glum looking pictures in the local paper when they don’t get their way and then do it all again 4 years later.
You know the ones.
The billboards are up and the leaflets are out and you regularly get accosted by one of their representatives in an ill fitting t-shirt.
The points that these people stand on are consistently underwhelming.
‘Accountability’
‘Transparency’
‘Trustworthy’
These criteria are the minimum one should expect from an elected representative.
No one stands out because they aren’t promising to over-deliver.
To go above and beyond.
People expect more these days.
The same happens in business.
So many brands just deliver to expectations rather than go above and beyond.
Dominos changed the game in the pizza market 20 years ago by adding 3 words to their marketing.
“Pizza delivered in 30 minutes or its free.”
One of my students Koala Mattresses offer 120 days return. For a big, bulky mattress.
They are so confident in their ability to deliver they remove the risk for the customer.
What impression does your brand create?
Just delivering to expectations?
or
Above and beyond and the clear choice to buy products from?
Personally, I even place a value on your time.
If you are looking to grow your ecommerce business we need to speak.
45 minutes together to work out whats possible and where you can take it in the next 90 days.
If you don’t feel this 45 minutes is valuable I will send you $100.
I should be charging for these not carrying all the risk..
I’ve opened limited spots early next week.
